Standing Up Can Look Like Standing Alone
A high school Senior came to a Campus Life small group and shared about how she had an emotional breakdown in her political class due to her peers wanting to pass a bill in a mock trial supporting the act of abortion. She and her leader discussed after small group what the student thought the right choice was. She confessed that although she knew it was wrong and felt like God was telling her to stand up against this issue, she was afraid of what her peers/teacher would think and if it would affect her grade.
Through discussion with the leader and prayer, the student decided to stand up against passing the mock bill to try to get the bill of abortion not to pass. Even though she was on the outside, she put her trust in the Lord to stand up for what she believed was right even if it went against the status quo. Knowing that God and her Campus Life leaders were there to support her through it.
