Camila is a student I hadn’t worked with a ton before camp, but she came along with some friends who signed up. She is quiet, sweet and kind. She was willing to be vulnerable with our cabin as we talked about how the main sessions impacted us and caused us to reflect on our lives and how they pertain to the path the Lord wants us to walk. Halfway through the week, we had a worship night where students decided what next steps they felt they needed to take in their walk with the Lord. Although it would’ve been easy to choose something and go to the next station, the girls decided to sit on it a little and explore each choice separately. Camila returned with the choice to make a first time decision to follow Christ. We were able to pray for her and celebrate her. Camila will receive a letter in the mail from me as well as something to remind her of camp and her decision. As school starts and programming for 8th graders begins again, she will be assigned a mentor to continue to walk alongside this new lifelong journey. – Alex Anderson
